Apple iOS 9. 2 for iPhone, iPad brings new features to Apple Music, and more.

Apple has rolled out iOS 9.2 update which brings with it new features for Apple Music and improved stability for Safari, among other minor improvements.

Highlights include improvements to Apple Music, which now shows you exactly which songs have been downloaded to your device, and the ability to directly connect a digital camera to your iPhone’s lightning connector to transfer pictures. Apple has also introduced an iCloud download button to let Apple Music users download their entire song library from their account, which many users will appreciate.

A new Top Stories section in News so you can stay up to date with the most important news of the day (available in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia) There’s also a new download indicator button next to each song, so you’ll know how much is remaining when you choose to make a song available offline. The bug fixes include solving issues that prevented manual iCloud backups from successfully completing, data not appearing in the Health app, incomplete week view in calendar and missing data from contacts. Anyone wanting to transfer images from a DSLR camera to the iPhone or iPad does not need to plug into a PC running iTunes anymore, with the adapter support now available. Usability has been improved too, because the most recently modified playlist is now shown at the top of the list, making it easier to access the music you have just added.

There are also bug fixes for FaceTime and Messages, which was not allowing some users to sign in. iCloud Photo Sharing for Live Photos has been given a stability update, and Apple claims to be fixing errors which reared their ugly head while importing photos from an iPhone to a Mac through USB. The latest OS X El Capitan can be downloaded on iMac (Mid-2007 or later), MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008; 13-inch, Early 2009 or later; 12-inch, Early 2015), MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later; 15-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later; 17-inch, Late 2007 or later), MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later), Mac Mini (Early 2009 or later), Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later) and Xserve (Early 2009). Apple says the latest update solves issues with Calendar updates, and also fixes an issue that caused the icons of third party apps to show incorrectly.
