Buyer’s Guide: Discounts on iPad Mini 3, Retina MacBook Pro, Apple Accessories …

Inside the iPad Mini 4: Basically a smaller iPad Air 2.

The new iPad Mini 4 was a footnote at Apple’s recent event, and for good reason: the little tablet really is just Apple’s year-old iPad, with a slightly smaller display.

It is lighter than its predecessor though, the iPad Mini 3, but that’s primarily because it’s kitted out with a smaller battery – the Mini 3 had a 6471mAh battery and the Mini 4’s is 5124mAh. So apparently, the new Apple 7.9 inch tablet will pack the same battery life as the previous version, only that it will be thinner than ever before – neat, right? The display features an anti-reflective screen – the same that is used by Aapple’s iPad Air 2 – again, helping the device to slim down ever more.

However, the website iFixit notes that because of the thinner design, the repair costs will also increase considerably, and that there is almost no chance to repair the device all by yourself.
