COD: Black Ops III is multiplayer only on Xbox 360 and PS3.

‘The ambitious scope of the 1-4 player co-op campaign design of the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions could not be faithfully recreated on old generation hardware,’ claims Activision.

Call of Duty developers Activision have announced that the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Black Ops III will not have a campaign mode, and will feature only multiplayer and Zombies modes. The company make it clear that they think it impossible to recreate the experience for the last-gen consoles, but it seems to be that less effort is going in to ports for the older consoles as far as AAA games are concerned, as this follows the cancellation of the port of Mortal Kombat X. While multiplayer is a huge part of the Call of Duty experience — just yesterday Activision announced a new global e-sports league for the series — the bombastic campaigns can also be a great deal of fun.
