Amazon promises midnight Call of Duty delivery in select cities.

SEATTLE, Oct 30, 2015 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Amazon.com AMZN, -0.10% today announced its Prime Now service will offer special delivery windows for Prime members wanting to get Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops III delivered just as it becomes available at midnight eastern standard time on the game’s release night – Friday, November 6. “Why wait in lines on release night when we’ll bring Call of Duty: Black Ops III right to your door?

One of video gaming’s biggest franchises – and by far the most successful in the twitchy realm of first-person shooters – Call of Duty games have sold more than 175 million copies since 2003, and taken in a staggering $10 billion. We’re making it easy for hardcore gamers to download the app, reserve a coveted delivery window for midnight delivery and sit back while the game comes right to their doors. Much like the Zombies mode, Nuketown has been a staple part of the Black Ops series since the beginning and it’s nice to see that it’s returning once again. Details are still a bit sketchy, with some stating that the single-player mode gets a Zombies makeover, and others suggesting that the location used is the same as the one in the campaign, but the mode adds new objectives and story. Seeing as yesterday was Friday, Treyarch and Activision once again held a live-stream and unveiled this new trailer for the bonus map which players can grab if they pre-order the game.

Seeing as the last map was based in 2025, the new version of the map is set all the way in 2065 and has been “redesigned from the ground up” in order to highlight the new momentum-based gameplay. All in all, it’s a great deal for residents of the 20 cities in question, which include Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Manhattan, Miami, Minneapolis, Orange County, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Antonio, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle. Whether this is rumor is true or not remains to be seen, but just a heads-up for those who are planning to buy Black Ops 3, gameplay footage has started to leak online so you might want to watch out for spoilers. Clearly, this is a very limited service, and it’s only available to Amazon Prime members, with pre-orders kicking off via the Prime Now app at midnight of November 4.

In the US, membership includes unlimited Free Two-Day Shipping on more than 20 million items, instant streaming of tens of thousands of movies and TV episodes, more than one million songs, more than one thousand playlists and hundreds of stations with Prime Music, free unlimited photo storage through Amazon’s Cloud Drive with Prime Photos, early access to select Lightning Deals and access to over 800,000 books to borrow through the Kindle Owners’ Lending Library. When hijackers attempt to kidnap the Russian president, a wild gun battle erupts, with the plane veering out of control and tossing its occupants around. The company is guided by four principles: customer obsession rather than competitor focus, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. Customer reviews, 1-Click shopping, personalized recommendations, Prime, Fulfillment by Amazon, AWS, Kindle Direct Publishing, Kindle, Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Echo, and Alexa are some of the products and services pioneered by Amazon. The zero-gravity gunfight was something new for the series, but the player is ultimately called upon to destroy the space station to keep it from falling into enemy hands, and he burns up in the atmosphere as he tumbles back to Earth.

All this happens in the game’s very first mission, which begins with the earthbound protagonists witnessing the orbital weapon’s destructive power. If the player chooses to maintain his cover, he can shoot and kill dozens of panicked, screaming civilians, in a scene that’s hard to watch, never mind actively take part in.
