Did Mazda Just Make the Miata Fun Again?.

The Mazda Miata. The 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata appears to be making its mark early on, standing out as a vehicle that’s finally distinct from the first-generation Miata that debuted at the turn of the 1990s.

In a world where luxury and power are craved among those looking for the ultimate four-wheeled toy, there doesn’t seem much place left for a fun little open-top sports car like the Miata — but Mazda is aiming to change all that with the 2016 MX-5 Miata, and critiics are starting to admit that the little roadster may have a fighting chance. Taking the automotive world by surprise more than 25 years ago, the Miata is considered today as a legendary sports auto that has achieved an automotive milestone.

With Mazda’s KODO design paradigm shining through, the new MX-5 Miata looks “incredible” as a “whole different beast” from its predecessors. Setting their KODO-soul of motion artistic attitude in action, the implausible design of MX-5 Miata is receiving rave appraisals from the mechanically and artistically-minded worldwide. Not exactly entry-level Kia prices, but if you want the wind blowing through your hair (or chillin’ the top of your head for us buzzcut people) it’s a nice price. A front four-cylinder engine and independently-suspended wheels in the rear and in between, a conventional user controlled 6 speed manual transmissions. And unlike a growing lineup of 2016 sports cars that have sacrificed engine power and appeal for practicality in today’s market, the MX-5 remains a force to be reckoned with.

Along with the treat of owning one of the world’s most beloved sports cars, Launch Edition customers also receive a special plaque in their car’s driver-side door jamb with Launch Edition badging, a Mazda-badged Bose® Mini SoundLink® portable stereo system and a box of gifts from Mazda’s Heritage Collection apparel line. We wanted to make it a little bit more aggressive and we wanted to make it a little more timeless design, so this design can last for years in the future.” The initial reviews for Mazda 2016 Miata MX-5 are positive. The latest edition to the MX-5 lineup is one that delivers performance, comfort, and luxury in one shot, whereas previous editions left drivers feeling that they had been cheated out of something that they could have otherwise had in a better designed auto. Likewise, through the dipping of the steering wheel radius by 2mm, and shaping it with 10mm more upwards tilt, Mazda offers the driver 12mm more leg clearance.

With a base price just below $25,000, Mazda’s latest 2016 edition Miata still possesses the simplicity in form its famous for, and still boast lots of fun. In Miata Grand Touring, Mazda has added smart keyless entry, black leather interiors, blind spot warnings, rain sensing wipers and many other additional features.

Responsible for donating more than $7.6 million and pledging more than 120,000 charitable service hours over the past two years, Mazda Drive for Good continues to provide monetary donations and community service throughout the year. A $3,400 Brembo/BBS package for the Club model comes complete with Brembo front brakes, 17-inch BBS dark alloy wheels, side sill extensions and a bumper skirt.

While the MX-5 Miata isn’t going to win you any drag races, it also doesn’t have a blinking sign painted on it screaming for state troopers to pull you over.
