Lumia 550 leakedMicrosoft has a whole bunch of smartphones on the way carrying the Lumia brand it inherited from Nokia. Although the community was convinced until today that the Redmond giant would launch Windows 10 Mobile alongside the Lumia 940, apparently the Lumia 950 is going to be this year’s flagship, in two different variants. We know that many readers are eager to get their hands on the upcoming Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL that are likely to be made official at the Microsoft October 6th event. The latest leak on this phone includes images that are purported to be the Lumia 550 in four different color choices of Black, Bright Blue, Bright Red, or White. Previously we’ve heard a good bit about the potentail specs of the new device, which could include a 4.7 inch AMOLED screen, removeable SD storage and a 1.1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad core chip.

These unofficial specs include a 1.1GHz Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor, 4.7-inch AMOLED display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. There’s also a 5-megapixel rear camera and 1.2-megapixel front-facing snapper, There’s now also a mention of Cat.4 LTE support offering up to 150Mbps download speeds and 50Mbps upload speeds. With the iPhone 6, iPhone 6S and Galaxy S6 also launching in multiple variants, including Plus ones, Microsoft might be on the right track with two different models of the same flagship.

Under the hood, Microsoft is expected to use a Snapdragon 808 or Snapdragon 810 CPU, backed by 3 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage with microSD expansion available if necessary.
