GM Recalls 64K Chevy Volt Cars Due To Possible Carbon Monoxide Risk.

When the Volt is in electric mode it’s very quiet so it’s easy for a driver to forget to shut it off and when that happens the battery drains and the gasoline generator starts and if the car is parked in the garage the fumes can get into the house. GM, +1.72% is recalling about 64,000 of its plug-in hybrid Chevrolet Volts over concerns about a buildup of carbon monoxide when a driver forgets to turn off the car.
