Closed Halo Online Beta Launched in Russia.

If you’re a PC gamer who’s been itching to get your hands on a copy of Halo, I have some semi-good news; a brand new PC-only edition of Halo will launch in the spring.

Halo Online is a free Halo multiplayer experience for PC users. 343 said that the game itself is powered by a “highly modified version of the Halo 3 engine” so that way it can be optimized to run on lower-end PCs without an issue. It is set on a UNSC space installation where Spartan-IV soldiers hone their skills by by training together in exercises using experimental technology. The free-to-play game is the result of a partnership between 343, Saber Interactive, and Innova Systems, and it’ll be exclusive to the Russian market. One of the things that made Halo 3 such a difficult game for everyone to be amazing at was the lack of hitscan; basically the bullets lack travel time. And, unfortunately, many of those questions will be left unanswered at the end of this article. 343 Industries isn’t ready to spill the beans on any in-game details just yet.
