Kia Recalling over 15,000 Vehicles in Canada.

Kia Motors has issued a recall for 86,880 Forte sedans sold in the U.S. to repair a faulty cooling fan resistor that has been linked to a number of engine fires. Owners of affected vehicles are being advised to contact Kia at 1-800-333-4542, or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.

Owners of the Forte sedans with 1.8-liter engines will have the engine control unit software updated, Kia has recently recalled nearly 100,000 Soul compact cars model years 2010-13 to fix a sunroof defect that may lead to a headliner plate deatching when the side curtain airbag deploys, according to Autoblog.
