Nintendo wants to build a sleep monitor with a projector

Nintendo’s Quality of Life Sleep Sensor Will Apparently Have a Ceiling.

Nintendo said it planned to develop the technology with US health company ResMed, which now makes equipment for diagnosis and treatment of sleepdisorders.

The legendary game developer has been pretty tight-lipped about its new “NX” console along with its “Quality of Life” initiative, promising only to tell us more about them in 2016. It would be permissible, as an example, for the sensor information to be sound information which is detected by a microphone, or image information which is captured by a camera. It’s unclear as to whether the object plugged into the docking station is actually the user’s smartphone or not, but one would reasonably assume that is the case. The sensors are designed to detect the user’s pulse rate, temperature, and other related body measurements, at which point the data is uploaded to Nintendo’s servers so that a sleep score can be calculated.

The device is allegedly going to have a microphone and camera, or it might be able to use both from your mobile device, to monitor your sleeping habits.
