2014 Nissan Rogue Recalled for Possible Fuel-Pump Failure.

WASHINGTON — Nissan North America is recalling 76,242 2014 Nissan Rogue SUVs because improper nickel plating of components within the fuel pump may result in fuel-pump failure, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. “Even if the engine stops running, the 12V power remains on, the airbag system remains fully functional and the vehicle can be brought to a controlled stop,” Nissan said in a document filed with NHTSA. “However, the engine stop may increase the risk of a crash.” Nissan dealers will replace the fuel pump.
