OnePlus 2 Launch VR app released, reservation list opened.

You’ll need a VR headset in addition to the app if you want to take part in the VR festivities, whether that’s OnePlus’s own Cardboard headset or another VR viewer. On this success, OnePlus are planning to open up shop in both Europe and North America likely to help with the demand for the OnePlus 2 which is set to be revealed next week on July 27. They’ve already sold the cardboard VR headsets to many users, and now the company has just launched its Android app, from where it will stream the event live to all fans across the world.

For those of you wanting to watch the event on Tuesday, have your Google Cardboard ready and make sure you install the Google Cardboard app on your phone because it’s now launched on Google Play. The device ends up with a score of 49221, but it’d probably be wise to wait until the OnePlus 2’s full public launch before making any judgments about its performance.

The OnePlus Two is going to be announced at an event on Monday, July 27 from 7PM Pacific Time, and will be the first smartphone announcement to use Google Cardboard VR to enhance the experience. But don’t worry, OnePlus says it’s making 30- to 50-percent more handsets compared to last year in anticipation of demand, so in theory you shouldn’t have too wait long. After you purchase your OnePlus 2 with an invite, it may take up to 3 weeks before it is ready to ship. “When a OnePlus 2 is born, it’s assigned an invite to help it find its home,” OnePlus says at the invite site. “Launching a second flagship product to an exponentially larger community brings a whole set of new challenges, and invites will help us manage them.” In April OnePlus finally announced it was making its flagship One smartphone available for anyone to buy without an invite.

Finally, if that wasn’t enough OnePlus 2 action for you, you can check out a YouTube video that allegedly shows the phone undergoing an AnTuTu test. This reservation list is part of OnePlus’s improved invitation system for its new device, and it’ll let you get an invitation as soon as they become available. For people wanting an invite, you can attempt to pre-register your email address for an invite on the OnePlus Invites page, but at the moment, the site is straining under load and you probably won’t get on the list for a while. However, OnePlus 2 will just be moderately smaller than its predecessor and the upcoming smartphone is likely to sport a 5.5-inch 1080p panel, reports Phonearena.com. OnePlus will also be introducing a new invite system that is easier to get, due to a relatively larger inventory they are preparing ahead of the launch.
