Mercedes-Benz Course Comes to Super Mario Maker.

The Mercedes-Benz Jump’n’Drive level is available today as an event course, which can be found with other special levels brought to players from Nintendo and its collaborators.

Even if you’re strict and German-like – especially if you’re actually German – nobody says you can’t have a little bit of fun now and then, especially since this is the merriest month of the year.Super Mario Maker is definitely one of the best games released this year thanks to its gameplay mechanics which allow players to go wild with their creativity when creating courses.

Many Nintendo fans were slightly bemused when Nintendo teamed up with car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz for a trio of free, downloadable Mercedes karts in Mario Kart 8 last summer. (Our news editor Marc weighed in on the mini-controversy that surrounded that announcement.) It seems that wasn’t a one-off promotion, however, as the two companies have teamed up once again, this time for a Mercedes-Benz course in Super Mario Maker! This is exactly the case with Mercedes-Benz which has decided to team once again with Mario – the German carmaker (the third biggest in the world in the luxury segment) has developed a special edition course for Nintendo’s Super Mario Maker video game. In the past few months some creators have discovered very unique ways to use the editor’s objects and a few hours ago another player has shared another very creative way to make some objects interact with one another.

The level and the costume are free. “Super Mario Maker continues to grow and evolve with new courses and content,” says Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “It’s great that a luxury car brand like Mercedes-Benz recognizes the ability to create fun courses and share them with others.” This isn’t the first time Nintendo has partnered up with Mercedes-Benz. It has been named the Mercedes-Benz Event Course, with the iconic Mario reaching out to a Mercedes dealership and having the GLA taken out for a spin – we were also cheering up for the autobahn section and the recreation of Mercedes’ iconic three-pointed star in the retro-inspired bricks. Nobody speaks about his skills with a blowtorch and a wrench, but we hear he’s the guy to call if you need someone to jump on turtles and collect coins.

Considering how the graphics and the gameplay haven’t changed that much over time, the fans of this franchise must be really passionate about their game. If the Super Mario series has the plumber walking and jumping, the Mario Kart series puts him behind the wheel of a go-kart, eating mushrooms to gain speed and throwing shells at other racers to make them spin. We will keep you updated on any future update or new content as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news on this nice Wii U exclusive game. Anticipating the obvious question “How will a Mercedes-Benz GLA jump around without looking terribly weird?” the team behind the project released a video.
