Amazon Lightning Deal: $99 Samsung tablet for the next 4hrs.

A new Sky Go app has been released for Amazon Fire tablets, giving the pay-TV firm’s customers more ways to watch their favourite shows while on the move.

Amazon will have tons of deals this weekend, of course, but the online retail giant is already looking forward to Monday morning, when you head back to work after the long weekend and inevitably scour the Web for deals from your desk. Being this affordable, you could consider buying several of these devices, and turn them into the best holiday gifts your friends and family members have ever received.

The Amazon Fire TV Stick was the No. 2 selling device across the company’s site on Black Friday, with sales up more than 6x last year across the holiday weekend. Sky Go offers live and on-demand content from up to 70 entertainment channels, including Sky 1, Sky Atlantic as well as Sky Movies and Sky Sports at no additional cost to the customer’s existing subscription. Orders were up 40% this year and close to 7.4 million items were shipped out vs 5.5 million items in 2014. “Throughout the year, we have been investing in more distribution centres and hiring many more great people in anticipation of our biggest Christmas period ever and, in particular, our biggest ever Black Friday. Not all the Black Friday shopping gets done online though, and luckily if you’re someone who chose to stay home then Amazon has plenty of Black Friday deals for you to check out, like their Fire Tablets.

This has already been the biggest holiday shopping season for Amazon devices, and we’re energized by the year over year growth for all of our product categories,” said Dave Limp, Senior Vice President, Amazon Devices. “With a sub-$50 price point for one or $250 for a six-pack, we’ve reached a tipping point with Fire—it is our fastest-selling tablet ever. The OS feels like it was built primarily with Amazon members in mind so that they can easily access all the TV shows, movies, music and games in the Amazon store. Meanwhile in the US the e-commerce giant watched the entry level fire tablet fly out the door all holiday weekend — so much so, says receipts data firm InfoScout, that it was the top seller by units not only on but at Best Buy.

The retailer has set up a special Cyber Monday page, and you might want to go ahead and bookmark it right now so you’re all prepared on Monday morning. The total amount will come out to $49 – still a great bargain for a basic tablet with 1024 x 600 resolution, quad-core processing, and expandable storage to 128 GB (8GB internal). There are some minor bugs that won’t bother the truly patient though be warned that tap response is delayed, indicating that the touchscreen may require more pressure than usual.

The voice recognition is excellent, the sound quality is better than I would have expected and the traffic/weather/timer/alarm functionality is very useful.” – Kamus about Echo Amazon also confirmed in a press release that “The Kindle e-reader business continues to grow—customers bought hundreds of thousands of Kindle e-readers this weekend.” The Seattle-based e-tailer also won the day in terms of internet buzz, generating more social media chatter than Target and Walmart combined, according to Adobe.

Other impressive features include a battery that lasts for weeks on a single charge, ability to hold thousands of books, a massive book selection of more than a million cheap titles and portability since it is lighter than a paperback. You’ll also find deals on Samsung monitors, Sony’s SmartBand 2, the Mira Wellness and Activity Bracelet fitness tracker, and the Pencil stylus by FiftyThree. For the next four hours, Amazon has a lightning deal on the Samsung Galaxy Kids Edition Tab 3 Lite tablet for only $99. “Please sit tight, confirmation will be with you shortly”.
