But Italian luxury fashion house Moschino is looking to change that with a new “Super Moschino” collection. “Moschino is pleased to announce the launch of the ‘Super Moschino’ project, conceived in collaboration with Nintendo to celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of their most popular and beloved characters: Mario from the Super Mario Bros. series,” reads Moschino’s blog post. “The collection includes printed t-shirts and knitted sweaters, characterized by the graphic of the video games hero, along with a series of colorful bags and accessories in leather, ranging from backpacks to bucket bags, and from wallets to belts – all personalized with images of Luigi, Princess Peach, coins, stars and mushrooms that appear during Mario’s many adventures. ” You’ll be able to buy elements from the collection starting Dec. 5 at any of Moschino’s stores or at various other “prestigious multibrand stores,” according to the company. The designer, who has collaborated with Barbie and Looney Tunes in the past, has teamed up with Nintendo for a collection of Super Mario-inspired tees and sweaters reading “Super Moschino.” The styles, which coincide with Super Mario’s 30th anniversary, hit Moschino’s website and select stores on Dec. 5. [Fashionista] In 2015, supermodels stripping down isn’t exactly newsworthy. Right now, T-shirts on Moschino’s site start in the triple digits, sweaters hover anywhere from $200–$400, and handbags go all the way up to around $850 depending on the style.

This pop culture icon-themed clothing collection is here just in time for the holidays, so if you’re looking for the perfect gift for the geek-chic girl in your life, you’re in luck. The coin-covered bags, graphic flying Mario tees, and brightly colored sweaters will be available on the Moschino site as well as select store worldwide.
