How to make your Windows 10 device work for left-handed users.

When it comes to setting up a new operating system such as Windows 10, one of the first things many people do is to find out how to change the common right-handed settings to work for left-handed people.

Microsoft has this week, as promised, released a new update for its Xbox App providing gamers with it a number of new features, tweaks and enhancements.Microsoft has just rolled out a new pack of updates for Windows 10 apps, this time aimed at the built-in Calculator and Camera tools that are delivered with the operating system.According to Major Nelson, the update will provide real-time updates to your Friends list and Activity Feed A new side-by-side comparison with Friends will also be offered, allowing you to check out how you fare against your buddies. But just like before, Microsoft has apparently forgotten to attach a change log, so this new release is most likely all about bug fixes and performance improvements.

The new dark theme for the Windows 10 Mail and Calendar apps definitely looks good, as you can see in the screenshots attached to the article, it perfectly blends into the desktop, which is what Microsoft most likely aspired to from the very beginning. The biggest update will allow mouse and keyboard support for text entry. “You will now be able to use the Xbox app and other inputs compatible with Windows devices – keyboards, touch keypads, and the like – to enter text in search boxes and more on Xbox One,” Major Nelson advised.

Most would assume this sort of personal setting would be within the Personalization category of Settings but they are in fact somewhere else and strangely splintered. The update that has been released today also includes several new personalization settings that let you customize the application even further by changing colors and wallpapers. To do this, either swipe in from the right side of the screen on a touch-enabled device like a Surface Pro and press the Settings icon or click on the small Notifications icon in the Taskbar (which looks like a speech bubble with three horizontal lines within it) and click on the Settings icon there. What’s more, it boasts many more features than its predecessor, so in addition to making use of the standard, scientific or programmer calculator, you can convert volume, length, temperature, energy, area, speed, time, power, data, and pressure.

Discover how you stack up against your friends on specific game progress by visiting the Achievements section of your profile and selecting ‘Compare.’ You’ll enjoy a side-by-side comparison of your selected friends’ progress on games you’ve recently played, including game completion percentage, Gamerscore and Achievements earned. • Console text entry. As is the case with all the other Windows 10 app updates, the new versions are available in the store, but in case you haven’t received them yet, check out the Downloads and updates section to get them right away. Additionally, you can toggle between the light and the dark themes and set the background to cover the entire window or just the right pane where you read new messages and compose new emails. Those within the programme will be privy to new updates and features months before they hit the general public, though they will also need to give feedback on the functionality. In a recent comment, the operating-system-turned-gaming-company-turned-everyone’s-friend stated they are beginning to curve the number of users in the Xbox One Preview Program.

To tell Windows 10 which hand you’ll be writing with, simply go into the Pen settings (which are also within the Devices category in the Settings app) and choose which hand you’ll be using from the first pull-down menu. Previously the company released applications geared towards gaming, such as Smart Glass and the Games section in Windows Vista, and mostly left them alone.

If you’d like Microsoft to allow for more customizations within Windows 10, make sure to power up the Windows Feedback app (already pre-installed on all Windows 10 devices) and let them know in a suggestion.
